- 4 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ cup heavy cream or milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and sugar.
- In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla until well combined.
- Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients; mix until just combined.
- Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
- For frosting, beat butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa with cream until smooth. Frost cooled cakes generously.
