- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz / 680 g) marinara sauce
- 1 package (20 oz / 560 g) refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1½ cups (150 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup (50 g) shredded cheddar or Parmesan
- ½ cup beef pepperoni (pork-free) or turkey pepperoni
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook 1 minute.
- Add marinara sauce and simmer 5 minutes.
- Stir cooked tortellini into the sauce.
- Top with mozzarella, cheddar (or Parmesan), and beef or turkey pepperoni.
- Cover and cook on low 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted.
Notes
- This recipe can be made with turkey or pork-free pepperoni for a healthier option.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrition.
