Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz / 680 g) marinara sauce
  • 1 package (20 oz / 560 g) refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1½ cups (150 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup (50 g) shredded cheddar or Parmesan
  • ½ cup beef pepperoni (pork-free) or turkey pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook 1 minute.
  5. Add marinara sauce and simmer 5 minutes.
  6. Stir cooked tortellini into the sauce.
  7. Top with mozzarella, cheddar (or Parmesan), and beef or turkey pepperoni.
  8. Cover and cook on low 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted.

Notes

  • This recipe can be made with turkey or pork-free pepperoni for a healthier option.
