Description
A delicious slow-cooked meal featuring tender sirloin tip steak and hearty potatoes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs Sirloin Tip Steak (or chuck roast, cubed)
- 2 lbs Potatoes (cut in 2 inch pieces)
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt (omit if using salted butter)
- 2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Steak Seasoning
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter (sliced)
- Green Onion (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cube the steak, then cut up the potatoes into about 2-inch pieces.
- Add all of the ingredients to the Slow cooker. Mix everything together.
- Cook on low for 5-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Cooking it low and slow produces the most tender steak bites. Cook time will depend on the size of the beef chunks (and potato pieces). Start checking for doneness at the 5 hour mark on low, and at the 3 hour mark on high, to prevent drying out the meat.
- Serve as is or with a green salad.
Notes
- Cooking it low and slow ensures the best texture.
- Best served with a side salad.
