Description
Delicious cookies with a sweet maple flavor and creamy white chocolate drizzle.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 teaspoon Maple Extract
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup Melted Butter
- 1 large Egg
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup White Chocolate Melting Wafers
- Holly Berry Sprinkles (Optional festive decoration)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, and maple extract until smooth. Stir in one egg until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, ground cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients to form a dough.
- Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, to help cookies maintain their thickness.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop chilled dough into 1-inch balls, spacing them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges are set and centers remain slightly puffy.
- Let cookies rest on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
- Melt white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
- Dip half of each cooled cookie into melted chocolate, place on parchment paper, and drizzle remaining chocolate over cookies.
- Allow chocolate to set completely before serving or storing.
Notes
- Chilling the dough helps achieve thicker cookies.
- Feel free to add nuts or other festive decorations.
