Description
A comforting and hearty beef stew made with tender Halal beef, fresh vegetables, and egg noodles, perfect for a family meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces, Halal-certified
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth, Halal
- 1 cup egg noodles or your favorite type of noodles
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce, Halal
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, Halal
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter, for finishing
Instructions
- Cut the Halal beef stew meat into bite-sized pieces and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a skillet, melt a tablespoon of butter over medium heat, add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until translucent and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
- Layer the beef, sautéed onions, garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper in your crockpot. Stir to combine.
- Close the lid and set your crockpot to low. Cook for 6-8 hours, or until the beef is tender and falls apart easily.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the egg noodles directly to the crockpot, pushing them into the sauce. If needed, add a bit more broth to ensure they are covered.
- Once the noodles are cooked, stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter for added richness. Give everything a gentle mix and taste for seasoning before serving.
- Ladle the beef and noodles into bowls, garnishing as desired. Enjoy with your loved ones!
Notes
- This dish is perfect for cold evenings and is packed with flavor.
- Feel free to adjust the vegetables according to your preference.
- You can substitute the egg noodles with any pasta of your choice.
