Description

A delicious strawberry mousse dome with a vanilla sponge cake and strawberry filling.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs (large)
  • 0 cup granulated sugar
  • 0 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (cold)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 0 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Bake vanilla sponge cake and cool completely.
  2. Prepare strawberry filling and allow to cool.
  3. Whip vanilla mousse until light and fluffy.
  4. Assemble mousse, filling, and sponge in dome molds.
  5. Freeze domes until firm, then decorate.

Notes

  • This dessert is best served chilled.
  • Make sure to use cold heavy cream for the mousse.
