Description
Delicious garlic cheese sandwiches made with sourdough bread and a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
Ingredients

- 4 slices thick-cut sourdough or Italian bread
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt to make the garlic spread.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on one side of each bread slice.
- Flip two slices butter-side down and top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Place the remaining slices on top, buttered side out.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the pan, let rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve hot.
- Garnish with extra parsley if desired.
Notes
- For best results, use freshly minced garlic and quality cheeses.
- These sandwiches can be served with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
