Ingredients

- 1 pound sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Red pepper flakes to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Choose a tender steak cut like sirloin or ribeye and cut into bite-sized cubes. Let rest at room temperature for 20 minutes.
- Pat the steak cubes dry, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat until very hot. Sear steak in batches, 2–3 minutes per side, and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet, followed by minced garlic and sliced onions. Sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add fresh herbs if using. Return steak to the pan and toss to coat with garlic butter sauce.
- Cook 1–2 more minutes to heat through, then garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes. Serve immediately.
