Description

Delicious homemade apple fritters that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, drizzled with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 medium apples (Granny Smith), peeled and diced
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Create a well in the dry ingredients; add eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir gently until just combined.
  4. Fold in diced apples carefully to maintain their shape.
  5. Scoop heaping spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and firm to touch.
  7. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth; drizzle over warm fritters before serving.
