- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 medium apples (Granny Smith), peeled and diced
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Create a well in the dry ingredients; add eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir gently until just combined.
- Fold in diced apples carefully to maintain their shape.
- Scoop heaping spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and firm to touch.
- For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth; drizzle over warm fritters before serving.
Notes
- Can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
