Description

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together cake flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients while alternating with heavy cream until just combined.
  6. Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pans for ten minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  8. Once cooled, frost with buttercream icing and decorate as desired.
