Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by chopping the garlic and measuring out the other components.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper; cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (165°F).
  3. Remove chicken from the skillet; add minced garlic and dried herbs to the pan. Sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, scraping up any bits from the skillet. Let simmer, then stir in grated Parmesan until melted.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, adding cooked pasta; toss until well combined and heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.
