Ingredients

- 6 medium apples (Granny Smith or Fuji)
- 6 wooden sticks
- 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (120 ml) light corn syrup
- ½ cup (120 ml) water
- ½ tsp white vinegar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Gel food coloring (pink, blue, yellow, green, purple – as needed)
Instructions
- Wash and dry apples thoroughly; insert sticks.
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and vinegar in a saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat to 300°F (150°C) (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.
- Divide syrup into bowls and tint each with different gel colors.
- Dip apples, rotating to create rainbow swirls.
- Place on parchment to cool and harden.
