Description

Delicious and crispy fried chicken thighs coated with a flavorful seasoning blend.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken thighs (boneless, skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (for a pinch of heat)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for frying)
  • fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)
  • lime wedges (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cornstarch, flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Toss the chicken pieces in the mixture until they are evenly coated.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, add the coated chicken in a single layer. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, let the coated chicken sit for a few minutes before frying.
  • Serving suggestions include a side of rice or salad.
