Description
Delicious and easy shrimp rolls with a creamy mayo mixture and fresh herbs.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or parsley)
- 4 hot dog buns or lobster rolls
- Lettuce leaves, for serving
- Slices of avocado or sliced pickles (optional)
Instructions
- Start by rinsing the shrimp under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 3-5 minutes, cooking until the shrimp are opaque and pink. Remove from heat.
- In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped dill or parsley. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
- Gently combine the cooked shrimp with the mayo mixture, ensuring all shrimp are nicely coated.
- Lightly toast the hot dog buns or lobster rolls in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
- Place a lettuce leaf inside each toasted bun, followed by a generous scoop of the shrimp mixture.
- If desired, add slices of avocado or pickles on top for added flavor and texture.
- Serve your shrimp rolls warm, garnished with extra dill or parsley for a beautiful presentation.
Notes
- Feel free to substitute dill with parsley if preferred.
- For a spicier kick, add some hot sauce to the mayo mixture.
