Description

Delicious and easy shrimp rolls with a creamy mayo mixture and fresh herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (or parsley)
  • 4 hot dog buns or lobster rolls
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Slices of avocado or sliced pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by rinsing the shrimp under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 3-5 minutes, cooking until the shrimp are opaque and pink. Remove from heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped dill or parsley. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
  5. Gently combine the cooked shrimp with the mayo mixture, ensuring all shrimp are nicely coated.
  6. Lightly toast the hot dog buns or lobster rolls in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Place a lettuce leaf inside each toasted bun, followed by a generous scoop of the shrimp mixture.
  8. If desired, add slices of avocado or pickles on top for added flavor and texture.
  9. Serve your shrimp rolls warm, garnished with extra dill or parsley for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute dill with parsley if preferred.
  • For a spicier kick, add some hot sauce to the mayo mixture.
