Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt or tube pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Alternately add the dry ingredients and sour cream to the butter mixture, starting and ending with flour. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
