A delicious recipe for Lobster and Shrimp Biscuits, perfect for any seafood lover!

- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large yellow onion, finely chopped
- 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
- 2 medium carrots, peeled and finely chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups seafood or chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 lb cooked lobster meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails removed, roughly chopped
- 1 cup frozen sweet peas
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (optional, for filling)
- 2 boxes Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix
- 1 stick (8 tbsp) cold unsalted butter, cubed (for biscuit dough)
- As directed on biscuit mix box (approx. 1 1/2 cups) water or milk
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (for biscuit dough)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (for glaze)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (for glaze)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional, for glaze)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat 2 tbsp of unsalted butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the onion, celery, carrots, and garlic; sauté until the vegetables are softened.
- Stir in flour and cook for a minute.
- Slowly add the broth, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the heavy cream, lobster meat, shrimp, peas, and seasonings. Cook until heated through.
- Prepare the biscuit dough according to the package directions, adding the cubed cold butter and cheddar cheese.
- Scoop the biscuit mix onto a baking sheet and bake according to package instructions.
- While the biscuits are baking, melt the remaining butter and mix in garlic powder and parsley for the glaze.
- Brush the glaze over the biscuits when they come out of the oven.
Notes
- This recipe works well with frozen lobster and shrimp if fresh is not available.
- For a spicier kick, consider adding diced jalapeños or hot sauce to the broth mixture.
