Description

A delicious cheese-filled tortellini dish with lean ground beef, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 12 oz cheese-filled tortellini
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  2. Add minced garlic and lean ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook tortellini according to package instructions; drain.
  5. Combine the cooked tortellini with the beef mixture in the skillet.
  6. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese, cover, and cook until cheese is melted.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding red pepper flakes!
